Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Snow Tales Lapland, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy explains how cancellations, changes and refunds are handled for our private family experiences and tailor-made services.

By booking with us, you agree to the terms below.

1. Free Cancellation

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the experience.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience are non-refundable, as guides, vehicles and partner services are reserved in advance.

2. Changes to Bookings

We always try to be flexible.

Date or time changes may be possible if:

requested at least 24 hours before the experience

availability allows the change

If changes are not possible, standard cancellation terms apply.

3. Illness & Unexpected Situations

We understand that families travel with children and unexpected illness can happen.

If a booking must be cancelled due to illness or medical reasons, we will offer a full refund, or the option to reschedule the experience.

We may request reasonable proof (for example a doctor’s note).

4. Weather & Safety

Lapland weather can be extreme and safety always comes first. If Snow Tales must cancel an experience due to:

  • severe weather

  • unsafe conditions

  • force majeure or safety concerns

Customers will receive:

  • a full refund, or

  • the option to reschedule.

5. Northern Lights Disclaimer

Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Lack of Northern Lights visibility is not a valid reason for refund, but we always do our best to maximise the chances by choosing the best locations and conditions.

6. No-Show

If customers are not present at the agreed pickup time and location and we are unable to reach them, the booking is considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.

7. Refund Processing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Processing time: 5–10 business days

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover:

  • illness

  • flight cancellations

  • travel disruptions

  • personal emergencies

Snow Tales is not responsible for costs caused by external travel changes.
